Download God's Eye View
God's Eye View is free and open source. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and opens in your web browser. You don't need an account or API keys to start: Esri satellite imagery and keyless terrain load out of the box, along with flights, military traffic, satellites, earthquakes, public cameras, radio and launches.
Option 1: one click with Pinokio
- Install or update Pinokio to version 8.2 or later.
- Open God's Eye View on Pinokio.
- Click Install, then Start. Pinokio installs the locked dependencies, finds a free port and opens God's Eye View in your browser.
If an earlier install failed, update Pinokio and try again; version 8.2 fixed the installer. If the globe feels choppy inside Pinokio's built-in view, open the same local address in your normal browser.
Option 2: from the terminal
Use Node.js 24 (24.14.0 or later) or 26.
$ git clone https://github.com/bilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view.git
$ cd gods-eye-view
$ npm ci
$ npm run doctor
$ npm run dev
Then open http://localhost:4173 and pick Live Contacts, Space Missions, Environmental or Explore Manually.
Optional keys for photorealistic 3D
For photorealistic 3D cities, add a Cesium ion token (eligible personal, non-commercial use) or a Google Maps key (direct, metered) in the app's Power Up panel. Provider terms and quotas apply.
Already installed?
Update to the latest version. Older versions query public OpenStreetMap Overpass servers that now refuse them, so Traffic, Mapped Installations and ALPR stay empty until you update.
Only download from official sources
The official sources are github.com/bilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view and God's Eye View on Pinokio. Don't run installers for God's Eye View from any other site.
